Description
What is this course about?
This course is about art and all its meanings. Silvia, a professional Italian teacher and art lover, will take you into Michelangelo Merisi’s (“Il Caravaggio”) world by exploring the many Italian places that hold his artwork. During the four online lessons you’ll have not only the opportunity to learn many curiosities about the paintings, but also the chance to give your opinion about many related issues (in Italian, of course!).

FAQ:
- Can I buy only the lessons I’m interested in?
This is a short and intensive course: only 4 lessons. Each lesson costs 15 GBP but you can only buy the entire course for 60 GBP.
- What happens if I can’t attend a lesson?
We understand participants may miss a lesson in a group course due to various reasons. In the case of short courses (consisting of only 4 lessons) participants who miss one lesson may receive a 15 GBP-coupon code as a refund for only one missed lesson. Please note that in order to qualify for the coupon, you must inform the admin team (email addressed to info[@]onlineitalianclasses.com) at least 24 hours before the lesson starts. Customers will be able to use the coupon for buying any product on the Online Italian Classes shop.
- What happens if I’m not able to inform the admin team in time?
In this scenario, you can still email the admin team (email addressed to info[@]onlineitalianclasses.com), explaining your reasons for non-attendance and ask for the coupon. The admin team will then evaluate your request at their discretion.
- What happens if the course doesn’t reach the minimum number of participants?
If the course you bought doesn’t reach the minimum number of participants, we will send you a 60-GBP coupon code, which will be valid on any product on the Online Italian Classes shop (for example, you can use it for buying a pack of one-to-one lessons and ask for an individual course about the same topic and led by the same teacher of the course).
- How do I know if my level of Italian is OK for this course?
This course is suitable for learners ranging from levels A2 (Elementary) to B1 (Intermediate), which means – despite making mistakes and encountering obstacles – you are able to follow a teacher who is speaking clear and simple Italian. Please check the CEFR self-assessment grid if you have any doubts and remember that what your teacher really needs from you – in order to make things work – is just motivation and the will to learn.

Online Italian Course about the art of Caravaggio was really interesting.
The materials that Silvia had put together were really engaging, informative and fun.
We were a small group – 2 of us from UK and 2 from USA
The sessions were recorded and shared with us after each session so we could review. Silvia did set some homework and included some interesting quizzes both during the lesson and in the shared materials for us to enjoy at our leisure.
This is the second of the Online Italian Art Courses that Silvia has presented – now I am looking forward to the third one.

The online Italian course on Caravaggio was incredibly interesting. Taught by Silvia who opened up our world to this famous artist. When I go to Rome I am going to the church we discussed to see his painting. One of many in Italy. I would highly recommend this course. The amount of work and preparation put into it was wonderful. I think we all enjoyed it. I look forward to taking more classes. I also enjoyed being with other students from all over the world on zoom. Thank you Silvia!

This was a really interesting course with a range of varied materials. (I completely concur with the previous reviewer about the amount of effort which had gone into preparing the lessons). It was taught with patience, humour and enthusiasm. I learned lots about the artist and some of his paintings in an enjoyable and engaging way. Silvia spoke very clearly and found alternative ways to express the same thing to help our learning. Receiving the recorded version of the class afterwards was also really helpful in developing my understanding of grammar and vocab. Thank you Silvia, thank you Barbara.
